Eloah Rocha - Child Counselor at the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital

Los Angeles, California, resident Eloah Rocha serves as a child counselor at the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital. Since 2004, Eloah Rocha has overseen the youth activity center for the siblings of those in care at the institution. She has also conducted studies on children's interactions with patients and siblings, as well as research to monitor adolescents and children coping with a sick sibling.

Eloah Rocha aims to identify and understand the impact a patient has on siblings, especially children and young adults. She also aims to develop solutions that ease the burden and psychological impact, leading to studies that tailor feasible remedial therapy for the whole family.

Ms. Rocha earned a bachelor of science in child psychology at Boulder University in 2003. While studying toward her degree, she was a member of the swim club. She was also a cheerleader and volunteered at Boulder Hospital. Her passion for working with children has guided most of her volunteer activities.

Moreover, Ms. Rocha regularly participates in fundraising initiatives for after-school programs. She also serves as a homework room helper at a local elementary school. She has also assisted in organizing charitable events for kids living with disabilities and breast cancer.
